Vertex Receives $280M Navy Training Aircraft Maintenance Support Contract

The Vertex Company, which recently merged with Vectrus to form V2X (NYSE: VVX), has won a potential $280 million contract to help the U.S. Navy maintain training aircraft for service aviators and flight officers.

The seven-year contract will include intermediate-level maintenance support for the T-6 Texan, T-44 Pegasus, T-45 Goshawk, TH-57 Sea Ranger, TH-73 Thrasher, F/A-18 Super Hornet and C-130J Hercules platforms, the company Monday.

Detailed repair and inspections of aircraft components and systems will be part of the work.

The performance period under the Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department contract could extend up to 2029, with work primarily occuring in Texas, Florida and Mississippi.

V2X was officially formed in July after the completion of an all-stock merger between Vectrus and The Vertex Company.
