The U.S. Navy has downselected 14 companies to repair, maintain and modernize non-nuclear amphibious and surface combatant ships in Norfolk, Virginia, as part of two indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award contracts.
The first award worth potentially $300.2 million will provide for maintenance services for Navy aircraft landing platforms while the second IDIQ with a $177.1 million ceiling will cover the same requirements for the service branch’s guided-missile cruisers and destroyers, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Activities will be performed on Navy ships based in or visiting Norfolk, Virginia. Both contracts have delivery orders and a four-year ordering period through January 2027.

The Mid-Atlantic Maintenance Center will oversee contract work while the Naval Sea Systems Command, as the contracting activity, is obligating funding from fiscal 2022 operations and maintenance allocation for the initial delivery orders.
