LMI Appoints Joe Niehaus, Zaki Saleh to SVP Ranks; Pete Pflugrath Quoted

LMI has elevated Joe Niehaus, a 23-year industry veteran, to senior vice president of the consultancy’s logistics service line and hired Zaki Saleh, formerly an executive at Peraton, to serve as SVP for the health and civilian market.

Pete Pflugrath, executive VP of markets and growth at LMI, said in a statement released Monday the company made the appointments in a push to accelerate growth initiatives after it reached an investment deal with a consortium made-up of Declaration Partners, Capitol Meridian Partners and 22C Capital.

Joe Niehaus, Senior Vice President of Logistics Service Line

In his new role, Niehaus oversees a consulting department focused on developing logistics services across the areas of acquisition and sustainment, supply chain management, energy, infrastructure and environment.

He joined LMI in February 2021 as director of supply chain management after a more than 14-year career at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC).

Zaki Saleh, Senior Vice President of Health and Civilian Market

Zaki is responsible for business growth and profit-and-loss functions within LMI’s business that works with health and federal civilian customers.

He most recently served as VP and general manager of the global health unit at Peraton, which he joined after the company’s private-equity owner, Veritas Capital, acquired the information technology and mission support services of Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC).

His position at Northrop prior to the unit divestiture was chief growth officer of programs aimed at federal civilian, defense, intelligence, state and local and government health care sectors.
