Ocean Shipholdings has won a potential $292.7 million contract to manage transportation auxiliary general ocean surveillance and missile range instrumentation vessels for the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command.
The company will operate and maintain five T-AGOS and two T-AGM units used to monitor missile launches and back commanders’ anti-submarine warfare mission in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
MSC received six offers for the firm-fixed-price contract via the SAM.gov website and will obligate the base contract value of $54 million before the end of the government’s 2022 fiscal year.
The performance of work could extend through Oct. 31, 2027, if the command exercises all options.
DOD noted the award covers the following government-owned, contractor-operated vessels:
- USNS Victorious
- USNS Able
- USNS Effective
- USNS Loyal
- SNS Impeccable
- USNS Invincible
- USNS Howard O. Lorenzen
