James Lackey, former senior vice president of operations for Parsons‘ (NYSE: PSN) integration and production division, has transitioned to a new role as SVP of the defense and intelligence mission solutions sector.
He is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of integrated hardware and software offerings for ground station command and control, space satellite launch integration, space domain awareness and DevSecOps engineering, Parsons said Friday.
“As a former Department of Defense senior executive with over thirty years of experience, James is a mission-first leader with the right combination of major weapon system acquisition development expertise,” said Paul Decker, president of defense and intelligence at Parsons.
Lackey came to the Centreville, Virginia-based contractor in August 2018 after service as SVP of the defense systems group at Quantum Research International, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Prior to joining industry, he held senior executive leadership roles at the U.S. Army‘s Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center and at the Pentagon’s Office of the Secretary of Defense.
He also worked at Naval Air Systems Command as deputy assistant commander for acquisition.
