A Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) business unit has received a $422.7 million contract modification to produce hardware for a U.S. Navy family of air and missile defense radars.
Naval Sea Systems Command will obligate the full amount on the award to cover options for AN/SPY-6(V) production work to be performed by Raytheon Missiles & Defense, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The modification comes less than two months after the business was awarded a potential five-year, $3.2 billion contract to manufacture SPY-6 variants for installation on as many as 31 naval ships.
