The Vertex Company has secured a potential five-year, $130 million contract to help the U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command maintain aircraft and weapons that support strategic deterrence operations.
The company said Wednesday it will support the UH-1N and the MH-139 aircraft fleets assigned to the branch’s 582nd Helicopter Group at F.E. Warren AF Base in Wyoming.
Vertex will also provide maintenance services for aircrew flight and ground equipment, aircraft engines and other weapons including intercontinental ballistic missiles.
The award has a one-year base period, plus four one-year options, and work will occur at military air bases in Wyoming, North Dakota and Montana.
Vertex, which rebranded itself following its acquisition of Raytheon Technologiesâ (NYSE: RTX) defense training and mission critical solutions business, also maintains test aircraft of the Navy under a potential seven-year, $850 million contract awarded in April.
