Naval Air Systems Command has awarded Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) a $397.7 million contract modification to obtain initial spares for lot 16 F-35 Lightning II aircraft.
The award is for deliveries of global spares pool and afloat and deployment spares packages to the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, non-Department of Defense agencies and foreign military sales customers, DOD said Friday.
Naval Air Systems Command will obligate funds on individual orders of the firm-fixed-price contract.
Work will be conducted in Fort Worth, Texas, through December 2024.
The award comes a week after Lockheed’s aeronautics business received a $372.5 million contract modification to deliver F-35 lot 15 and 16 ancillary mission equipment to the U.S. military.
