The U.S. Air Force’s cryptologic office has created a new framework, dubbed Converged Air Force Enterprise Mission, to help the service achieve information dominance by shifting from platform-centered intelligence analysis to a problem-centric, sensor-agnostic architecture.
The Converged Air Force Enterprise Mission framework seeks to connect analysts across various locations as they analyze problem sets within the same virtual space and help facilitate information exchange and real-time collaboration among cryptologic airmen, the service said Friday.
Although CAFEM’s initial design focuses on the Air Force’s cryptologic requirements and missions, the framework can be scaled up to cover the service’s entire intelligence community and joint service, among others.
The service said CAFEM is one of the programs within the cryptologic component of the 16th Air Force, Air Forces Cyber.
