Guidehouse has named health experts Sarah Garnett and Kristin Porter as public sector health leader and head of the Department of Veterans Affairs account team, respectively, within the management consulting firm’s health segment.
Garnett will bring to the role her experience working with leadership teams from federal health agencies, research institutions and academic medical centers to drive growth and strategic programs that advance transformation efforts across the health ecosystem, Guidehouse said Thursday.
She has more than two decades of experience in federal and commercial health care markets and is a recipient of the 2021 Leading for Impact Women in Leadership Award.
Porter most recently focused on promoting relationship with VA through programs such as the Electronic Health Record Modernization, Whole Health and Acquisition Academy.
She has been with the consulting firm for nearly 18 years and co-leads Guidehouse’ (re)Vision approach, where she applies her experience in behavioral science, workforce systems and human-centered design to help organizations manage change initiatives.
Garnett and Porter also serve as partners within Guidehouse’s health segment.
Guidehouse Partner and Health Segment Leader Alicia Harkness said Garnett and Porter will help the firm’s clients innovate as they navigate the complex challenges within the health ecosystem.
