The State Department has approved a potential $368.53 million foreign military sale, through which Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) could provide follow-on support services and related equipment for the U.K.’s Tomahawk Weapon System.
Raytheon’s missile and defense business in Tucson, Arizona, will be the prime contractor on the proposed sale, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Tuesday.
The deal will cover all three TWS segments: all-up-round missiles, the tactical Tomahawk weapon control system and the theater mission planning center.
As part of the FMS transaction, the company will recertify the British navy’s Tomahawk missiles, accommodate unscheduled maintenance, conduct operational flight tests and meet hardware, software and communication device requirements.
DSCA expects the sale to help the U.K. sustain maritime interoperability with the U.S. and allied forces. The agreement calls for the deployment of one government representative and three contractor personnel to Britain to support the requirement.
