The U.S. Navy has awarded 63 companies positions on a potential five-year, $249.7 million contract to provide rapid development and prototyping and systems integration support to help the military branch meet new and emerging requirements and advance the growth of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s services portfolio at Webster Outlying Field in Maryland.
NAWCAD received 107 proposals from 69 vendors for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The IDIQ contract will be used to complement existing services in support of NAWCAD to facilitate the development of product-based platforms across six functional areas: combat integration and identification systems; special communications mission solutions; ship and air integrated warfare systems; airborne systems integration; air traffic control and landing systems; and integrated command and control and intelligence.
Work will occur at St. Inigoes in Maryland and at various contractor sites in the continental U.S. through March 2027.
