The Department of Defense’s Joint Artificial Intelligence Center has awarded Scale AI a $249 million blanket purchase agreement to develop platforms for testing machine learning, deep learning and neural network architectures.
Scale AI said Monday it will make the company’s technology available to federal clients as JAIC’s government-wide AI partner.
The effort will focus on multiple AI applications such as image analysis, deep learning-based visual searching, autonomy, human-machine augmentations and natural language processing.
Use cases include ways to assess a warfighter’s cognitive and physical workloads with technology like virtual and augmented reality.
The company designed its AI platform to help organizations manage the machine learning life cycle encompassing data annotation, dataset curation and model test and development.
