General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology unit has received a potential $47.8 million contract to develop and sustain an enterprise system that will centralize management of the U.S. Navy’s legacy human resources data warehouses.
The GDIT business will help the military service build the Enterprise Authoritative Data Environment for the migration of MyNavy HR records into a central repository, the Department of Defense said Friday.
DOD noted the eADE system will apply an authoritative data sharing framework that supports data analytics and business intelligence functions.
The sole-source award has a one-year base period valued at $23.7 million and a pair of six-month options that would extend services through January 2024.
Contract work will take place at various locations in Virginia, New Orleans, New Jersey, New York, Alabama, Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Tennessee, Florida and Illinois.
The Navy intends to pay for services with research, development, test and evaluation and operation and maintenance funds for fiscal year 2022.
