The Air Force Research Laboratory has issued a request for information on potential vendors that could help update a system that helps authorized government users access data from multiple security domains.
AFRL will accept responses to the Engineering for Virtualized Enterprise and Remote Access Technology market research through Jan. 14.
The laboratory is looking to work with industry in an effort to modernize a multi-level access platform and explore similar technology for the U.S. Air Force, other defense agencies and the intelligence community.
Services for the potential requirement include specialized software research and development, testing, installation and life cycle support to the system.
AFRL will use data from the survey to help service officials determine whether they should pursue an acquisition strategy that could involve multiple cost-plus-fixed-fee contracts with a performance period of up to seven years.
