Rick Sabol, a more than three-decade industry veteran, has joined VTG as a senior vice president with responsibility for programs supporting the U.S. Navy.
He joins the Virginia-based naval engineering company after his previous role as SVP of operations at Science Applications International Corp.‘s (NYSE: SAIC) defense systems group, VTG said Wednesday.
John Hassoun, president and CEO of VTG, said that Sabol will bring experience providing technologies and services to the Navy as the company aims to provide warfighting platforms to the defense and intelligence sectors.
Sabol previously oversaw the in-service support operation at Alion Science and Technology acquisition and program management group.
VTG made the appointment more than two months after the company acquired undersea warfare and unmanned systems developer ASSETT as part of naval technology market push.
