John Hart, a more than 25-year GovCon industry veteran, has been named chief growth officer of Valiant Integrated Services in a string of leadership appointments at the Herndon, Virginia-based government services contractor.
Hart previously worked at Peraton as vice president of business and capture for the company’s defense solutions business, Valiant said Monday.
Prior to Peraton, he held leadership roles at several technology companies, including Perspecta, DXC Technology and Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s (NYSE: HPE) enterprise services business.
Valiant also reorganized its business segments into mission support and training and readiness verticals to realign new capabilities and programs the company added as a result of its acquisition of Alliance Technical Services in July.
Valiant appointed Kent Smith, a more than four-decade GovCon industry leader, as general manager and senior VP of the mission support vertical and Hector Alvarez, a 25-year Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) veteran, as GM and SVP of the training and readiness vertical.
Smith previously led Valiant’s operations and maintenance capabilities in construction, base operations support, health care and other markets. He held senior leadership positions at Fluor (NYSE: FLR) and Del-Jen.
Alvarez was VP and GM of U.S. Special Operations Command’s global sustainment support services business at Lockheed and previously held leadership roles at Hughes Aircraft and General Electric (NYSE: GE).
Valiant CEO Dan Corbett said Hart, Smith and Alvarez will bring to the leadership team their extensive experience in the government market and their addition will enable the company to advance growth initiatives and innovative approach in support of global clients.
