Frank Berry, formerly commissioner of the Georgia Department of Community Health, will join EY US in September to serve as executive director of markets and business development within the company’s government and public sector group.
The 35-year public service veteran will support the development of new offerings and relevant thought leadership to help clients address complex challenges in the health and human services landscape, EY said Tuesday.
In his more recent role, Berry oversaw the lead agency for health care planning, procurement and outcomes improvement for state residents. His responsibilities included oversight of the state’s Medicaid program and Health Benefit Plan.
He also managed Georgia DCH divisions focused on behavioral health, health planning, rural health and health information technology.
Berry previously served as CEO of Georgia-based nonprofit organization View Point Health and board chairman for the state’s ABLE Program.
