Spectra A&D Holdings, a portfolio company of Vance Street Capital, has acquired Galleon Embedded Computing for an undisclosed amount to expand technology offerings for the aerospace and defense market.
Oslo, Norway-based Galleon supplies embedded computers, servers, data recorders, network attached storage devices and board-level components to the military and commercial sectors, Vance Street said Monday.
Nic Janneck, a Vance Street principal, said the combination seeks to position Spectra to offer end-to-end information technology products designed to support the data capture process and to expand the platform’s international footprint.
The acquisition marks the first for Spectra since it was formed by the Los Angeles-based private equity firm in February through the merger of three defense technology businesses.
