Axon (Nasdaq: AXON) has been awarded a $223,1 million contract to supply the Drug Enforcement Administration with an undisclosed number of body-worn cameras and a digital evidence management system designed to store case-related data, according to a DEA award notice posted on SAM.gov.
The Scottsdale, Arizona-based company’s portfolio includes Axon Evidence, a software-as-a-service platform that was certified by the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program’s Joint Authorization Board in April 2019.
In September 2019, Axon received AT&T (NYSE: T) carrier certification to operate the former’s Body 3 wearable camera technology on the FirstNet national broadband communications network built for first responders.
The U.S. Forest Service and the Customs and Border Protection were among the government agencies that have implemented Axon-made law enforcement technology products.
