A joint venture of Goldschmitt & Associates and Central Research Inc. will continue to maintain, enhance and operate the Small Business Administration’s software-as-a-service platform for the Paycheck Protection Program and provide call center support under a potential 12-month, $136.4 million contract with SBA.
SBA conducted a market research in June 2020 and identified Goldschmitt-CRI as the only vendor that could provide the cloud-based commercial off-the-shelf platform that addresses the needs of the government, small businesses and lending community participants, according to a redacted justification and approval notice posted Friday.
The SaaS platform enables borrowers and lenders to submit applications for PPP loan forgiveness. The platform also supports several requirements, including the facilitation of forgiveness requests from lenders, ability to obtain dashboards and metrics relevant to PPP and validation of forgiveness request submissions to ensure the accuracy of borrower and lender financial calculations.
SBA said using the SaaS platform from Goldschmitt-CRI could help save time needed to compete, build and assess a platform acquisition.
The agency also noted that the company’s platform helps protect government data since it is hosted on a Federal Risk and Authorization Program-certified Amazon Web Services cloud environment, has authority to operate from SBA’s chief information officer and already interfaces with the agency’s Capital Access Financial Systems.
Reston, Virginia-based Goldschmitt-CRI is an 8(a) service-disabled veteran-owned small business and a HUBZone joint venture.
