Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has appointed former Department of Defense leaders David Norquist, Ellen Lord and Dana Deasy to the newly established strategic advisory board to provide guidance as SAIC advances innovation and growth efforts.
“These leaders bring years of experience in both industry and the federal government, particularly the Department of Defense, where they focused on strategy, research and development, as well as acquisition,” Nazzic Keene, CEO of SAIC and a 2021 Wash100 Award winner, said in a statement published Tuesday.
“I am confident that they will challenge our thinking in new ways as we continue to strive to be the technology integrator of choice for our government customers,” she added.
Norquist is former deputy secretary and comptroller at DOD and a two-time Wash100 awardee. He previously served as a partner at Kearney & Co.
Lord is former defense undersecretary for acquisition and sustainment, former president and CEO of Textron Systems and a four-time Wash100 Award recipient.
Deasy is former chief information officer at DOD and a two-time Wash100 awardee. Before joining the Pentagon, he held the same position at JPMorgan Chase.
Lord, Deasy and Norquist will serve as initial members of SAIC’s strategic advisory board and advise the company’s leaders on new growth opportunities, acquisition policy and client priorities.
