The National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center has issued a request for proposals for the potential 10-year, $50 billion Chief Information Officer-Solutions and Partners follow-on contract for general, health care and biomedical IT services.
CIO-SP4 is a governmentwide acquisition contract that has a five-year base term and five option years and is meant to meet the needs of agencies for IT platforms and services across 10 task areas, NITAAC said Tuesday.
The task areas under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract are IT services for biomedical research, health care and health sciences; CIO support; digital media; outsourcing; IT operations and maintenance; integration services; cybersecurity; digital government and cloud services; enterprise resource planning; and software development.
“CIO-SP4 builds upon the success of CIO-SP3 and takes into account several lessons learned that we believe will enhance the experience of our federal agency customers and contract holders alike,” said Brian Goodger, acting director of NITAAC.
Goodger added that CIO-SP3 is set to expire in May 2022 and still a vital option for meeting agencies’ IT procurement needs.
NITAAC set a June 1 deadline for questions regarding the solicitation. Proposals are due June 28.
