The U.S. Army has issued a sources sought notice to help its Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation maintain the service branch’s training aids, devices, simulators and simulations under a planned recompete contract.
PEO STRI said in a new request for information posted Tuesday on beta SAM website that its TADSS Support Operations program lead seeks details about lifecycle management sustainment of TADSS, instrumentation systems and ranges, as well as related services in support of the Training Support System worldwide enterprise of the Army.
Responses to the market research will provide the Army with insights on the industry’s management information system best practices and inform the service branch’s decision to launch a full and open competition or pursue a small business set-aside for the TADSS Maintenance program recompete contract.
ATMP2 will cover sustainment and training services for more than 400 types of TADSS installed worldwide, and support future synthetic training environment devices.
The program is expected to have approximate funding of $4 billion from fiscal year 2025 to 2035, and include a phase-in period of half a year. Full contract performance will follow after the six-month effort.
Responses to the second RFI are due June 4. Army posted the first notice on Feb. 8 and provided TADSS examples.
