NASA has asked industry to submit feedback on a draft performance work statement for the Consolidated Operations, Management, Engineering and Test contract that will replace the Kennedy Space Center’s Test and Operations Support Contract.
The proposed COMET contract will include management services for KSC’s launch infrastructure and ground processing support for NASA programs, according to a presolicitation notice posted Friday.
COMET services will also cover operation, processing and maintenance of launch-related ground systems; flight vehicle/spacecraft processing; ground system development; engineering; launch, landing and recovery operations for programs under the Exploration Systems Division, including Orion, Space Launch System and Exploration Ground Systems. The contract also includes services to other NASA initiatives, partnerships at KSC and commercial ventures.
Industry comments are due May 21.
NASA will also host industry one-on-one sessions between May 24 and June 4 to facilitate discussions on the draft PWS with the COMET requirements development team. Interested stakeholders have until May 17 to schedule a one-on-one meeting with the team.
