Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) will perform modeling and simulation work for U.S. military branches and program offices under a potential five-year, $800 million engineering and professional support services contract from Army Combat Capabilities Development Command.
The company said Wednesday it will model and simulate a system of systems and facilitate wargames, training sessions and battlespace effectiveness experiments as part of the cost-plus fixed-fee contract.
Gabe Camarillo, senior vice president of SAIC’s Army business unit, said the company will assist the software, simulation, systems engineering and integration directorate under DEVCOM’s Aviation and Missile Center.
Work will take place at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama; Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado; and the Pacific Warfare Center located on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.
SAIC received the contract under the governmentwide One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services contract vehicle.
The Reston, Virginia-based company will also lead an industry team that won a potential $3.6 billion contract to help the Army engineer hardware-in-the-loop testing platforms for embedded systems.
