Sikorsky Lands $99M Army FMS Contract for Modified Black Hawk Helicopters

Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) Sikorsky subsidiary has received a $99.9 million contract modification from the U.S. Army to modify UH-60M Black Hawk utility helicopters for Saudi Arabia’s national guard.

Sikorsky will provide 25 modified Black Hawks to fulfill a foreign military sales requirement, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

The Army Contracting Command obligated the full amount of the modification using fiscal 2021 FMS funds. Contract work will take place in Stratford, Connecticut, through Oct. 31, 2024.

In 2018, Sikorsky landed a potential $193.8 million contract to supply 17 Black Hawk aircraft to the Saudi Arabian military.

The Lockheed subsidiary also recently secured a $90.7 million award to provide engineering and technical support for the Army’s Black Hawk fleet.
