Eleven companies have won spots on a potential six-year, $99.8 million contract to provide engineering, technical, security and logistics assistance for U.S. Navy communications systems that support airborne, ground, space and afloat platforms.
The multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a base value of $31.3 million over a two-year period and a pair of two-year options that would extend work through March 2, 2027, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
Contractors will compete for task orders to help the Navy manage narrowband, protected and wideband communication technologies that are designed for integration with space-based, afloat, submerged, ashore and airborne systems.
Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific received 11 offers for the contract through the SAM. gov website and will obligate fiscal 2021 Navy research, development, test and evaluation, operation and maintenance and other procurement funds upon issuance of each order.
Eighty percent of contract work will take place in San Diego and the remaining 20 percent will occur in locations outside the continental U.S.
