Robert Freda, formerly assistant corporate controller of Curtiss-Wright (NYSE: CW), has been appointed to succeed the retiring Harry Jakubowitz as treasurer at the Davidson, North Carolina-based defense electronics provider.
Curtiss-Wright said Friday that Freda will report to Chief Financial Officer K. Christopher Farkas and oversee corporate tax and treasury functions in his new position.
The newly appointed treasurer has been with the company since 2006 and played a role in acquisitions, lease accounting, global benefits and new revenue recognition initiatives there.
Freda previously worked for Telcordia Technologies as assistant controller and executive director of financial reporting.
Jakubowitz, who has served as Curtiss-Wright’s treasurer over the past 15 years, will retire from the company after 18 years of total service.
