Chantilly, Virginia-based security engineering services provider System High has purchased a Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) business unit that supports the Missile Defense Agency in cybersecurity and computer network defense efforts.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed and System High said Monday its acquisition of the Technical, Engineering, Advisory and Management Support group from Booz Allen includes contracts and 100 employees.
MDA issued the potential five-year, $91.5M TEAMS award in August 2017 covering advisory and assistance services for Ballistic Missile Defense system’s information technology infrastructure.
Rob Howe, president and CEO of System High, said the deal would grow the company’s presence in Huntsville, Alabama, area and was part of its push to expand support for national security missions.
Lincoln Hudson, a Booz Allen senior vice president, said the company will continue to invest in talent recruitment and development programs to support the technology sector in Huntsville, Alabama, area following the TEAMS realignment.
System High is backed by Enlightenment Capital and offers proactive protection, intelligence, counterintelligence and cybersecurity services to the aerospace, defense and government markets.
