The General Services Administration (GSA) has appointed Exodie Roe III as associate administrator in the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization and Roberto Rosas as policy adviser in the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs.
Roe will bring more than a decade of congressional and Capitol Hill experience with a focus on policy advisory and external communications. Rosas has served as a congressional staffer on Capitol Hill. He also supported congressional and political affairs at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
“We are thrilled to have Exodie Roe III on board. His team will partner with the Federal Acquisition Service and the Public Buildings Service to broaden diversity, equity, and inclusion into the way GSA does business,” said Katy Kale, acting administrator of GSA and 2021 Wash100 Award recipient.
GSA also named Venecia Fernandez as the policy adviser in the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs, LeJamiel Goodall as the senior adviser to the deputy administrator and Laila ElGohary as White House liaison.
“In addition to Exodie, we have key team members bringing experience from the Hill, local and state government: Roberto Rosas, a congressional policy advisor; Venecia Fernandez, a congressional policy advisor, LeJamiel Goodall, the senior advisor to the deputy administrator; and Laila ElGohary, the White House liaison,” Kale added.
Fernandez formerly served as the New York State Comptroller. Before that, she served as the office manager and community liaison to Sen. Charles Schumer, and has worked within New York City politics for over 10 years.
Most recently, Goodall was chief of staff for the District Department of Transportation (DDOT). Previously, he served as the agency’s head of community engagement, where he led outreach to the Mayor’s Office of Community Relations and Services (MOCRS), Advisory Neighborhood Commissions (ANCs) and the District Council.
ElGohary has a deep understanding of data and technology, including working at the White House during the Obama administration. With the Administration, she served as the director of technology and operations.
