AE Industrial Partners-backed space systems component provider Redwire has purchased Albuquerque, New Mexico-based payload launch and spacecraft thermal management technology developer LoadPath for an undisclosed sum.
LoadPath has built technology that was used in more than 20 spaceflight missions and supplied more than 200 flight articles to government and commercial customers to date, Redwire said Tuesday.
The acquired entity's offerings also include deployable booms intended for satellite production and rocket launch applications. It also offers structural testing support for static load qualification.
Adam Biskner and Greg Sanford, co-founders of LoadPath, will join Redwire as a result of the acquisition.
Peter Cannito, chairman and CEO of Redwire, said the deal expands the company's space infrastructure portfolio and mission technology products and service offerings.
The acquisition is the fifth for the Jacksonville, Florida-based firm this year.
PwC and Kirkland & Ellis respectively served as Redwireâs financial and legal advisers on the transaction. Butler Snow acted as legal adviser to LoadPath while Pulakos CPAs served as its financial adviser.
