DynCorp Holds Spot on $835M USAF Rotocraft Maintenance Support Contract Vehicle

DynCorp International, which Amentum acquired last month, will compete for task orders to help the U.S. Air Force maintain rotary-wing aircraft platforms, flight equipment and weapon systems through a potential $835M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. The military branch named DynCorp among the five awardees on the Rotary Wing Maintenance Consolidation Contract in early November.

Contractors will perform work to help address requirements at Air Force Global Strike Command, Pacific Air Forces, Air Education and Training Command and Air Force District of Washington, Amentum said Wednesday.

ā€œOur executive airlift team works around the clock to ensure safe, reliable and mission ready aircraft for our highest-level government officials. A great deal of credit for this win goes to them as they continue to delight our customer by exceeding requirements on this demanding mission,ā€ said Alex Sexton, DI capture management senior director.

ā€œIā€™m so proud of our team for this winā€¦ The team worked aggressively to develop a strong technical solution and when matched with our excellent performance on the USAF Executive Airlift programs at Joint Base Andrews, provides true best value,ā€ Sexton added.

Germantown, Maryland-based Amentum closed its acquisition of the military aviation contractor Nov. 23 in a move that created one of the largest mission-critical support service providers in the government market.
