The Department of Defense plans to release by the second week of December the final solicitation for the potential $11.7B Defense Enclave Services network consolidation contract, C4ISRNET reported Thursday.
āWeāre anticipating the final release next week,ā Don Means, national leadership command capabilities executive at the Defense Information Systems Agency, told reporters Thursday.
The DES contract seeks to consolidate disparate information technology systems at DoDās 22 āfourth estateā agencies under a single service provider.
DISA expected to issue the final request for proposals in late September but decided to push back the release of the RFP to mid-late first quarter of fiscal year 2021.
