Burlington, North Carolina-based life sciences company LabCorp has secured a potential $204.6M contract to provide the U.S. Army with clinical reference laboratory testing services.
Services under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract cover equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation and personnel needed to support various clinical and anatomic pathology disciplines such as microbiology, genetic testing, histology and hematology, according to a Beta SAM notice posted Tuesday.
The company will also deliver materials, tools and other items and non-personal services to carry out testing services.
Contract work has a transition period of six months and an ordering period of 54 months.
The Army awarded the contract via an open and competitive solicitation.
LabCorp offers drug development, diagnostic and technology-based services to over 16M patients per year. The company also manages trial activities in nearly 100 countries and performs tests on more than 3M patient specimens weekly.
