AE Industrial Partners has acquired Columbia, Maryland-based information technology company PCI as part of the former’s continued push to expand its footprint in the defense, government, intelligence and national security sectors.
Terms of the transaction were undisclosed, AEI said Monday.
PCI offers a range of IT services including cybersecurity, computer network operations, cloud, enterprise IT, data analytics and systems engineering.
Jeffrey Hart, a principal at AEI, said PCI has significant expertise as a provider of technology services for national security missions across the federal government.
Kirk Konert, a partner at AEI, noted that PCI has developed technologies with the capacity to support key clients in the latter’s core defense and intelligence end markets.
Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Ernst & Young LLP respectively served as legal and financial advisers to AEI. Miles & Stockbridge P.C. acted as legal adviser to PCI while Aronson Capital Partners was the company’s financial adviser for the transaction.
The acquisition serves as AEI’s 13th transaction closed in 2020.
