The U.S. Marine Corps is looking for potential sources of systems development and sustainment services to support the military branch’s efforts to update its virtual training systems and devices.
Contractors will compete for task orders to design, develop, test, fielding and maintain of USMC training technologies as part of the Electronic and Communication Systems award, Marine Corps Systems Command said in a presolicitation notice posted Wednesday on the beta SAM website.
The ECS multiple-award contract will have a one-year base period and five one-year options.
Awardees may be tasked to develop current and future Marine Corps training systems that fall under the ECS portfolio group including the Deployable Virtual Training Environment, Combat Convoy Simulator, Indoor Simulated Marksmanship Trainer and Combat Vehicle Training Systems.
According to the performance work statement, contract work will also include systems engineering, software engineering, interface management, data management, system modifications and test planning.
Contract work will primarily take place at contractor facilities.
MARCORSYSCOM plans to issue a request for proposals in the first quarter of fiscal year 2021 ahead of a contract award on Q2 of FY 2021.
Responses to the draft RFP are due on Nov. 12.
