General Dynamics' (NYSE: GD) information technology business has received a potential five-year, $364M contract from the General Services Administration to continue delivering digital enterprise support services to special operations forces.
The SOF Information Technology Enterprise Contract J awarded by GSA’s Federal Systems Integration and Management Center calls for GDIT to design and deploy technology capabilities to help SOF units respond to emerging threats through real-time intelligence data analysis and dissemination, the company said Tuesday.
Leigh Palmer, senior vice president for the defense division at GDIT, said the company will work to provide SOF units worldwide with enterprise IT capabilities to ensure they have access to the intelligence and information they need.
The single-award SITEC J has a one-year base term and four option years and covers support to remote and local connections to a Department of Defense network using new and existing data centers and cloud computing platforms.
