Melissa Houghton, former vice president of business development at Redhorse Corp., has been appointed VP of corporate growth at the San Diego, California-based technology services company.
She will oversee Redhorse’s efforts to expand its market footprint as well as other operations related to strategic partnerships, marketing and communications, the company said in a press release.
The more than 25-year industry veteran will also help drive Redhorse’s support for clients’ research, development and execution initiatives involving emerging technologies as part of her new role.
Prior to joining Redhorse in 2018, Houghton served as a VP at CGI’s (NYSE: GIB) federal arm and held senior leadership roles at SRA International and KPMG where she helped lead defense and civilian projects.
Her program leadership experience encompasses technical areas such as cloud computing, identity and access management, cybersecurity and information technology infrastructure management.
In addition to Houghton’s appointment, Redhorse also promoted Melissa Thierry, formerly the finance manager and a decade-long company veteran, to director fo finance, planning and analysis.
Mark Shiffer, previously the senior infrastructure engineer, will now serve as director of engineering with oversight on the company’s artificial intelligence, machine learning and DevSecOps portfolio.
