The accreditation body of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification has cleared 11 licensed partner publishers that will provide education curricula.
“This is just the first wave of organizations that will support the certification process with training curricula. This is exciting for us because we now have partners that are in this with us together and can help us scale to meet demand,” Ben Tchoubineh, member of the board of directors and chair of the training committee at CMMC-AB, said in a statement published Thursday.
The approved LPPs are:
- Captiva Solutions
- Celerium
- Community Colleges of Spokane, Corporate & Continuing Education
- Cyber Soldier
- Data Intelligence Technologies
- Edwards Performance Solutions
- Holistic Information Security Practitioner Institute
- Infosec Institute
- Logical Operations
- Precision Execution
- SecureXperts
The LLPs will develop in the next few months educational curricula in video, e-books, print and other formats using the exam objectives being developed by the accreditation body to help assessors meet them.
“Once the LPPs develop the content, we are going to have an independent third-party quality assurance organization ensure the content meets exam objectives and usability standards. Once it does, we will formally approve the specific training content and add it to the list of Certified CMMC-AB Curricula,” Tchoubineh said.
LPP applicants should have at least three client references and 200 hours of published coursework and two years of publishing history of content in cybersecurity, technology and auditing, among others. They must also undergo an organizational background check through Dun & Bradstreet, pay the acceptance fee and sign a license agreement and the code of professional conduct in order to be certified.
