Teresa Carlson, vice president of the worldwide public sector business at Amazon Web Services and six-time Wash100 awardee, has been assigned to also manage AWS’ sales in regulated sectors such as the financial and health care industries, The Information reported Friday.
AWS expanded Carlson’s responsibilities and promoted Greg Pearson, vice president of sales in the Americas region, as head of global sales after Mike Clayville – most recently VP of worldwide sales and business development – left the cloud computing firm to be chief revenue officer at payment processing company Stripe.
Carlson came to AWS in late 2010 after she previously served as a vice president at Microsoft‘s (Nasdaq: MSFT) federal government arm.
Pearson spent 28 years at Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) before he moved to AWS in early 2019.
