AMERGINT Closes Purchase of Space-Based Optics Business of Raytheon Technologies

AMERGINT Technologies Holdings has closed its acquisition of the space-based optics business of Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) and will operate the newly acquired business Danbury Mission Technologies.

The transaction was announced in April and AMERGINT said Tuesday the acquisition of the Danbury, Connecticut-based business will expand its capabilities to provide next-generation platforms designed to capture, process, transport and exploit critical mission data in support of warfighters and decision makers.

AMERGINT CEO Larry Hill saidĀ Danbury Mission Technologies has been providing optical systems in support of U.S. national security space programs.

ā€œCombining our expertise, we are empowered to build a generational asset that focuses on delivering high-performance national security space technologies for the present and future,ā€ Hill added.

Andreas Nonnenmacher, formerly a vice president at Raytheon Technologies, will serve as president of Danbury Mission Technologies and AMERGINT.

Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett LLP and BofA Securities respectively served as AMERGINTā€™s legal and financial advisers in the transaction.
