Mike Kahn, a nearly 40-year aerospace and defense industry leader and a previous Wash100 awardee, has been appointed CEO of Cobham’s advanced electronic solutions business.
He succeeds Shawn Black, who is stepping down from the role to pursue other career opportunities, Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions said Monday.
“We believe that Mike’s proven leadership capabilities and experience in engineering, manufacturing, mission assurance, and programs, will be of significant benefit to the company and our customers as we continue to take CAES forward,” Robert Hitt, vice chairman of the board of CAES.
Kahn most recently worked at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), where he served as sector vice president and general manager for weapons systems. He also held senior leadership roles at other defense and aerospace companies during his nearly four-decade career in the industry.
