Leonel Garciga, director of information management, HQDA-DCS-G2 with the U.S. Army, will serve on an expert panel during Potomac Officers Club’s Weaponizing Data Across the Digital Battlefield Virtual Event on Aug. 11th.
Garciga is an experienced chief technology officer with a demonstrated history of working in the Defense and Space industry. He will bring his knowledge of Intelligence Analysis, Innovation Management, Government, Big Data and Intelligence to the Weaponizing Data Across the Digital Battlefield Virtual Event.
In his role with the U.S. Garciga provides technical leadership, oversight and direction for mission and enterprise information technology planning, research, development, experimentation, validation, acquisition, accreditation and application of future information technology programs, architectures and capabilities within the Joint Improvised Threat Defeat Organization (JIDO).
His expertise enables the rapid integration of cutting-edge technology for counter-IED and counter threat network operations and intelligence support to a variety of missions for the Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. national security.
Garciga is also the technical advisor to the JIDO director and his senior staff and serves as the JIDO technical lead and information technology integrator to the DoD, Intelligence Community, S&T community, U.S. government interagency, coalition partners, non-governmental organizations, academia and industry.
During the event, Garciga will discuss how to transform the digital battlefield through investments such as open architecture, DevSecOps, APIs, next generation governance and converged data platforms.
The event will feature two keynote speakers, MG Peter Gallagher and BG Rob Collins with the U.S. Army, as well as an expert panel, moderated by Michael Davenport, senior vice president with Booz Allen Hamilton. The speakers will discuss the Army’s need to leverage and integrate the latest emerging technologies to deliver faster and more secure solutions.
