Alion Receives $75M Task Order to Support Air Force Fighter, Bomber Weapon Systems

Alion Science and Technology has secured a potential five-year, $75M task order for technical support services to U.S. Air Force directorates that oversee weapon systems for the service branch's fighter and bomber aircraft platforms.

The company said Wednesday it will assist the fighters andĀ advanced aircraft and bombers directorates within the AF Life Cycle Management Center in crafting strategies to procure, maintain, secure and update weapons.

McLean, Va.-based AlionĀ seeks to help the branchĀ further develop its systems development and acquisition planning approachesĀ across research, development, test, evaluation, procurement, deployment and sustainment efforts.

TheĀ AF Installation Contracting Agency issued the order under theĀ Department of Defense Information Analysis CenterĀ Multiple-Award contract.Ā
