Oceus Networks announced on Tuesday that Brad Antle, former CEO of Salient CRGT, has been appointed executive chairman effective immediately following its acquisition by Battle Investment Group. In addition, Oceus Chief Operating Officer Jeff Harman will transition to a new role as the company’s president.
“This investment has prompted a new era for Oceus Networks. It is a direct result of Oceus Networks’ history of developing exceptional technology, focused leadership, and proven past performance in the defense and intelligence communities,” said Antle.
Antle will assume responsibility for the company’s core operational elements, including delivery operations, engineering, product development, professional services, marketing and sales and business development.
“This is a testament to Oceus Networks people who bring high-level strategy and thinking to the future of 5G in support of our warfighters,” Antle added.
Following the acquisition, the restructuring of Oceus’ senior leadership will support the company’s initiative to develop 5G platforms for both military and civilian applications as well as attract and retain top talent that will help support critical customer missions.
Antle has more than three decades of experience as an industry leader in the development and implementation of information technology solutions in the federal market, including 18 of those years that he served as a CEO.
Most notably, he formed Salient Federal Solutions Inc in 2009, which established a mid-tier federal business in the sector that drove federal IT and engineering solutions until the company merged with CRGT Inc. to become Salient CRGT in Sept. 2015.
Prior to 2009, Antle served as the president and CEO of SI International in Sept. 2005 and held the position and drove exponential growth for the company through Dec. 2008. He also held crucial roles for Lockheed Martin and General Electric early in his career.
Antle served in the U.S. Navy for eight years as a surface warfare officer and was deputy department head for Systems Engineering. After being released from active service, Antle served in the Naval Reserve, holding several reserve commands. He retired from the Naval Reserves with the rank of captain.
