Craig Janus, a 30-year information technology and telecommunications industry veteran, has been named senior vice president of the national security group at McLean, Va.-based government services contractor Preferred Systems Solutions.
He will report directly to Randy Morgan, president and CEO of PSS and a previous Wash100 inductee, and oversee the delivery of support services to intelligence community customers, help advance growth initiatives and pursue M&A opportunities, the company said.
âCraig has an exceptional background that includes operations and business development in a growth company model where he has consistently demonstrated a strategic approach to building a sustainable and differentiated business through organic growth,â Morgan said.
âHis hands-on and engaged style, strong technical background, and people-centric leadership philosophy are a great fit with PSS, as we develop our technical capabilities and staff and grow our National Security business.â
Janus joins PSS from IntelliDyne, where he served as chief growth officer. He also held senior leadership positions at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC), Noblis and URS.
He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served as an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University for more than 15 years.
