Space Ground System Solutions (SGSS) has won a potential four-year, $155.9 million contract to help U.S. Navy researchers prototype electronics for potential use in spacecraft and other airborne platforms.
SGSS will support development, maintenance, testing and modernization of systems that are intended to support the Department of Defense’s space-based assets as part of the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with a $29.6 million initial value, DoD said Monday.
Efforts will support the Naval Center for Space Technology that houses laboratory work for the branch’s space programs, encompassing space systems, payload and communications technology development.
Naval Research Laboratory received an offer for the project and is obligating $2.06 million in working capital funds at the time of award. Contract work will take place in Washington, D.C., through June 2024.
