GE Lands $181M Depot-Level Support IDIQ for Navy, Marine Corps Helicopters

General Electric‘s (NYSE: GE) aviation business has secured a five-year, $180.6 million contract to repair and overhaul turboshaft engines that power the U.S. Navy’s H-60 Seahawk helicopter and the U.S. Marine Corps’ H-1 Cobra and Bell UH-1 Huey platforms.

GE Aviation will provide depot-level work on the T700-GE-401/401C engine models along with power turbine and cold section modules, the Department of Defense (DoD) said Friday.

The Navy did not obligate funds at the time of award. DoD expects work under the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract to conclude by June 2025.

This IDIQ award comes more than six months after the company secured a $1.34 billion U.S. Army contract to deliver T700 engines for domestic and foreign military aircraft programs.
