The U.S. Army will host four virtual events for information technology vendors this month to discuss a potential 10-year, $10B procurement vehicle for commercial IT equipment and related services, Bloomberg Government reported Friday.
Upcoming industry days will focus on the fourth iteration of the branch's IT Enterprise Solutions Hardware contract. ITES-4H is designed to have seven product catalogs.
BGOV found that the Army has spent $2.2B on the predecessor contract, which featured 17 vendors, since fiscal year 2016 and expects to award positions on the follow-on vehicle by March next year.
Scope of ITES-4H includes the procurement and lease of commercial off-the-shelf products such as networking equipment, servers, storage platforms, desktops and imaging hardware. Contractors may also have to provide software and maintenance support for legacy IT systems, the report noted.
The Army issued a draft work statement in late 2019 and a request for information in January.
